Robocalling at it’s Finest

This weekend, I received a robocall at my house. It was the worst kind of push polling I had ever been subject to. The caller (out of state) didn’t identify themselves. They simply said something to the effect of:
The Legislature in Missouri wants to ban calls such as this from grassroots organizations such as ourselves. [...]

Sirius and XM Merger Presentation

Engadget has the goods on the presentation that XM and Sirius put together for shareholders on their proposed merger. They complained that the presentation was short on the goods for customers and long for the goods for shareholders. Well, it’s a presentation to shareholders first of all. Second, there are mentions of the items that [...]

I So Want This

(Un?)Fortunately for me, I have a wife that would never let this in the house. And it costs $150.

The merger will create a satellite radio [...]

XM, Sirius to Merge

Well, color me shocked. As I’ve blogged before, I am a happy customer of XM. I really never thought that they would try to merge with Sirius despite all the talk that they would. Well, looks like I am wrong.
I really can’t imagine that the FCC would allow the only two satellite radio companies to [...]

TV Remote Control Inventor Dies

I’d stand up, but now I don’t have to.
Seriously though. How many people have changed the world to the extent this guy has? In addition to helping to invent the remote, he had 180 other patents while working for Zenith.

A Few Minor Changes

You may have noticed some changes to the site. Basically, I’ve added some Google ads. Someone updated my theme (a post in the future about this) to include Adsense blocks in several places. I will probably turn off a block or two on the single post pages, but for right now I am experimenting with [...]

Welcome to the Club, Dick Morris

I very rarely agree with Dick Morris. In this case, I clearly do.
For years, I’ve been slamming the Democratic establishment for not being able to do anything right. Even the election of 2006 was such a gift that not even the Democrats could screw it up, no matter how hard they tried. They came out [...]
