There are lots of ways to get a “free” credit report. There’s a website run by one of the big three credit reporting firms that will give you your credit report and score “free” with paying for monthly monitoring of your credit reports. There are several more sinister websites that claim to give a free credit report, but nothing happens when you entire your personal information. Well, nothing to your web browser at least. Criminals probably have your personal information (including SSN) and are adding it to their database.

Last week, I mentioned that I downloaded a Charlie Brown theme for my T-Mobile Dash but that I was sad that it didn’t have my calendar on it. Well, I decided to quit whining and do something about it. So I took the original Charlie Brown theme and I added support for the fantastic Facade plugin by SBSH.

Opening up markets is always a good idea and I really hope that Commissioner Martin takes a hard stance on this. It’s time to stop allowing cell phone companies to stifle innovation simply because they can.

I think I’ve found something about global warming that everyone can agree is bad. The warming climate is hastening the death of white ash trees from an Asian beetle and softening the wood from the trees according to the NY Times. Why is this bad? White ash is the primary material used in wood baseball [...]

The rates would be much more competitive if all of the credits were taken out, but then politicians couldn’t claim to be saving Michigan jobs and making all of those out of state companies that suck the lifeblood out of Michigan pay their fair share. Tax policy always takes a back seat to politics when you have politicians making the rules.
