AT&T: D’Oh!

I love the Photoshop Disasters blog (front page currently NSFW due to Maxim Poland). While I don’t always see what the big deal is with the photo, occasionally they get a whopper. Today’s installment? An AT&T insert that went out with the comment from the editor on how to Photoshop the image.
D’oh! My guess [...]

Istanbul (Not Constantinople)

Listening to my four year old squealing with delight while watching a classic from my childhood.

She already knew the song because I threw it on her iPod for her. I think the video took it to an entirely new level.

Not Another Day at the Office

While the media obsession over the plane that ditched in the Hudson has gotten to me, it’s still amazing to read the transcript of the pilot’s communications with the tower. From the FAA (via WSJ)
“Emergency inbound,” one tower controller says as he tries to arrange for the stricken plane to land at Teterboro Airport in [...]

Merry Christmas to all of my readers.

Site Updates

I’ve fixed the font on the site to be Arial and made it a little bigger so that it’s easier to read on the screen. I can’t figure out the comments, I think it’s a plugin issue on why the font is so tiny (at least on IE 7). I’m still working on that.

CONTENT ADVISORY
Religious Nativity Scene included.

Apparently, having a nativity scene in a Christmas show is so surprising that the Rockettes’ producer feels the need to warn people in case they are sensitive to that [...]

He’s So Dead

The internet makes our lives harder sometimes, don’t it? If you’re cheating on your wife, for instance, you’ve got to come up with not only a plausible explanation but also one that isn’t easily debunked with Google.
See, a wife suspected her husband of cheating on her. She sneaked a peek at his iPhone and found [...]

Thank You

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To [...]

Quote of the Day

On Whaddya Know?
-The bad news is that unemployment is at a 14 year high. The good news is that President Bush is on the list.
