Digital Kitchen Scale: Just The Trick You Need
I have a friend who has been trying to lose weight for a really long time. She exercises as often as possible and she tries to eat healthy. However she has one problem, she loves to cook and eat good food. She makes something absolutely delicious and she will eat as much as she can. She struggles with controlling her appetite. When she is in a public setting she does just fine in watching what she eats, but by herself or with her family in her home it is a lot harder to control her food intake. She asked for my help. I knew all she needed to do was maintain better self control, but that is easier said than done. Any habit, whether good or bad, is hard to break. I realized that all she needed was something to remind her to stay within her eating goals. After much researching I found the perfect thing: a digital kitchen scale.
I used to think that kitchen scales were used mainly by people who were obsessed about their weight or by people who were big time detailed cooks. However after doing much reading about them I realized that they could also be beneficial for someone, such as my friend, to help them control their food intake at each meal. Dieters need motivation to lose weight, but sometimes gadgets can help with that motivation. A digital kitchen scale can help you fight putting too much food on your plate with ease. The kitchen scale allows you to measure the right amount of food portions which are often over consumed. These ‘over consumed’ foods include: nuts, snack mixes, cheese and meats. Even more crazy, with some digital kitchen scales you can type in the food code and a digital nutrition facts label will bring up for you the fat, calories, and sodium in the precise measurement you have put on the scale. This nifty feature can help you measure the calories on grocery items that were not packaged with the nutrition label. It can help my friend know exactly how much she can eat of a specific food. It can also help her balance out what foods she eats by knowing how much calories are in those certain food. Not only can my friend watch what the calorie intake is, she can also use the kitchen scale to cook and bake healthier food.
To make things even better for my friend I not only found the digital kitchen scale for her benefit but I also came across Escali’s digital food scales. She can easily stow it in her purse and use it at work or when she eats at a fast food restaurant.
Sometimes trying to lose weight can be a daunting and depressing task. But if it was easy, then we wouldn’t get stronger while doing it. It takes self control and when we achieve losing some weight the joy is priceless. My friend now uses the kitchen scale with everything she eats and it is quick and easy to use. She no longer piles tons of good food on her plate and she feels better every day that she uses self control. If a kitchen scale worked for her, then it could work for anyone.
